The Hibiscus Beach Resort
What are guests saying about ~
    Hi you guys,
Just wanted to write you a quick note to say thanks for everything.  We had a
blast, it was the best decision we’ve made in awhile, to come to St Croix.

And we’re really glad we chose the Hibiscus to stay at  - perfect spot for our
“Getaway”, and did we need it.  Jon was truly exhausted, and it was great to
just lay in the hammocks and just relax and forget about everything!  The
weather was great and the folks there couldn’t  have been friendlier.  Lucinda
at the desk was a doll, she asked us every morning if we wanted fresh beach
    towels.

I’ve tried duplicating Sarah’s exotic drinks since we got back, but you know,
they just don’t taste the same without that St Croix island ambience!  Thanks
again for everything, we’ll certainly make plans to come back next year!

    Hi Marc,
Glad to hear you’re still at Hibiscus and working to improve an already great place to stay.  Liz and I were your guests last year in February.  We own a condo next
door to your place but stayed with you as our unit was actually rented!  Liz and I hope to someday get to spend more time at our actual condo and become
“neighbors” but until then, we’ll be sure to stay with Hibiscus if our unit isn’t available.  One of the great things about Coral Princess is how close it is to Hibiscus,
with your fantastic beach and the wonderful H2O.  We’ve been visiting STX for 10 years and find your place to be among the best on the island.  H2O has great food,
a great view of a beautiful beach, and wonderful staff to bring it all together.  We’re actually like family when we get down there, everyone knows us so well.  It’s
also been a great location for getting out to explore the island, quick and easy to and from the airport.  Our room was fine but the great view draws you outside and
we don’t spend a lot of time inside.  With the beach, shady palms, and blue water just steps away, why resist diving in.  We always find the Hibiscus staff to be
friendly and helpful, and the facilities well cared for.  Until we can finally move in down the road we’ll consider Hibiscus our home away from home.  Talk to you soon
and see you in Feb 09!             Robin and Liz
    Hi Marc,
I wanted to drop a few lines to thank you for a wonderful stay.  This was a very relaxing place and your personal touch of
offering to take me by a store for beverages was a thoughtful and much appreciated touch.
I really enjoyed Elizabeth’s at H2O as well and had three breakfasts and three dinners in this casual but delicious
restaurant on  your premises.  Your hospitality and quick email turnaround will definitely have me recommending the
Hibiscus if anyone I know is headed that way.
Best regards, your very relaxed guest Theresa

“Friendly staff, Great food, Excellent Service” My
husband and I had a great experience staying at
the Hibiscus Beach Hotel.  The entire staff was so
friendly and very helpful.  What a great room, right
beside the ocean, where we could hear the sound
of the waves, even at night.  The weather was even
perfect every day.  Their restaurant H2O has an
excellent menu, really good food.  Our overall
experience was excellent.  We would definately
visit St Croix again and stay at the Hibiscus Beach
Hotel.  GB

For our first visit to St Croix, we stayed at Hibiscus Beach Resort.  Our room was just steps from the beautiful
white sand beach, and from the room's balcony, the refreshing breeze coming in from the ocean was as soothing
onsite restaurant, Elizabeth's at H2O, was a culinary delight.  Hibiscus is ideally located on the north side of St
Croix only a short drive from Christiansted.

With Hibiscus and St Croix, we feel like we have found our perfect rest and relaxation location to get away from it
all, take it easy, and enjoy the beauty that it affords.  We are looking forward to our next visit.

We have only been back home a
short while and already we miss the
Hibiscus and St Croix!  We’ve stayed
at a couple of other hotels on St Croix
in the past, but I’m certain that we’ll
be staying at the Hibiscus from now
on.  I have not stopped thinking about
our vacation.  Despite the fact that
the weather is getting warmer here
in Pennsylvania, the sun will never
feel quite as wonderful as it does
when we’re on St Croix, and the view
will never be as beautiful as it is from
    our room at Hibiscus!
Best regards til we see you again!

I recently stayed at your lovely little establishment and I had to write you a letter about my visit.  Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised.  I am an avid Trip
Advisor reader and although I take some reviews with a grain of salt, especially the very negative ones, I still like to be cautious.  I think what convinced me was
actually speaking to your Director of Operations Marc before I ever decided to go ahead and make the reservations.   It’s a shame that more people who have
positive experiences don’t take the time to write about them.  I definitely had a positive experience.  I’m glad I made my choice for my husband and I to stay at the
Hibiscus.  The island itself is unlike the other US Virgin Islands, St Croix has a charm all its own.  A relaxed comfortable beach, great tours, pleasant LOW KEY
shopping villages and some really great restaurants.  Especially H2O, the hotel restaurant.  We had a phenomenal dinner three times.  The service was really good
for an island.  I’ve been to others where it’s very slow.  It was a very welcoming experience.  The hotel was different than what we normally stay in.  We usually do a
Radisson or Westin or a bigger chain property.  St Croix does not have that.  Hibiscus has all the charm of a large property, though, without the attitude.  It’s
definitely more “boutique” and you can tell.  And when I say that, it’s a good thing.  It has the “feel” of a very casual & relaxed, comfortable boutique type
establishment.  Your  front desk staff was very personable.  Even the maintenance guy Jorge climbed a tree and cut a coconut for us – thank him again for us!  The
beach, the island, the people all treated us wonderfully.  I don’t want to make it sound like I’m SO particular, but I’m just saying that I was pleasantly pleased.  For a
small property, it has a charm and warmth.  We felt very comfortable and we will be back.
All the best for continued success!  Judith C.

Marc -
We are back home here and shivering since the night we got off the plane !! Gerry & I cannot thank you
and the staff at Hibiscus - Gary, Lucinda, Rashima, & Sarah - for everything that they did for us !! And, don't worry
about the renovations.   We were able to see, first hand, as guests all the good things that
are happening at Hibiscus. John & Michelle have great thoughts about keeping the place attractive
to every and all guests. Kudos to them, too !!   Crossing my fingers that Gerry has a job by next year
so that we can come and fully enjoy all the fruits of your labor to update Hibiscus.
Somehow, we will make it there !!
Again, thank you for your kind thoughts and see you next year !!!
    Just attended your Kari-Jokey party
    10-9-09.  Must compliment the service.
Have to say your bartenders are great.
Was a joy to watch them in action...
    helpful, informative, & unique.   From
    your happy patrons,

Hello, all!
I wanted to drop you all a line to say hello and to thank you so much for our wonderful stay
at the Hibiscus. The resort was just beautiful and the staff couldn't have been more
wonderful!   I was apprehensive at first because in my experience a hotel room never
looks in person like it looks in the brochure. Not the case with the Hibiscus! When we
opened the door i saw exactly what I was expecting to see plus some! The room was so
warm and inviting and comfortable! And the view was out of this world! I've always been
one to sleep in, but I couldn't wait to wake up every morning to step out on our patio and
watch the ocean while enjoying a great cup of coffee. I wanted you all to know that we ate
at many different restaurants while we were on St. Croix and can say without hesitation
that Elizabeth's H2O was by far one of the best. The food and service were phenomenal!
In fact everything in St. Croix was phenomenal. Leaving our last day was a deeply
emotional experience. We felt like we were leaving pieces of ourselves behind.
We've been back in "the real world" for a month now and still desperately miss
everything about St. Croix. Don't be surprised to see us there on a permanent basis
in the not so distant future!
Oh, and please tell Lucinda the Turners say hello! And I hope she found lots of fun
stuff to do on her vacation with her granddaughter and has a great trip!
I've included some links to my photo albums posted on my Facebook account.
Please feel free to check them out and even add me as a friend!
One more time, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for helping
make our vacation so very very special.

    Dear Marc,
My daughters had a great time and were able to do all that they set out to do.
Rachel hopes to come back again. It was really nice of you to take them into
town and save them a taxi expense for that trip.
They had a great flight home - no bad weather and no delays.
Got all of our pics developed and have relived our trip over and over already.
I'm sure we'll look at them many more times and yearn to be back on that
    beautiful island.
Well, guess this is it. Again, if we're ever back to St. Croix you will see us
again. We really liked Hibiscus and all the staff.
    Thanks for everything.

Note sent to us Aug 4, 2009:
Dear Marc and Staff,

Just a card to thank all of you for our stay
there at the Hibiscus.
I have to tell you, I was very happy with the
visit, and I believe that it was very
reasonable cost for the type of property you
have.   The discounts you offer also helped
with the cost as well.
We are budget-minded but also like to stay
in nice places, or at least places which
are clean and safe and when you have a
place like yours with such accommodating
staff, that makes it even more of a value!
You and your staff really treated us so nicely,
and that was truly the topper..
Thank you for everything.   -   Sarah G.

Marc,  thanks so much for all the wonderful staff you have. You all were so helpful, friendly, courteous and delightful to be around. Angela
in the restaurant started our day off right every morning. And no matter which young lady was in the office at any given time, they all went
out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. The maid service was wonderful - it was always nice to come into a relaxing - the color
scheme quite tranquil - just a totally relaxing experience. You should be proud of all Hibiscus has to offer. Hope to be able to visit again
sometime down the road. Thanks again.

PS - our daughters are eagerly awaiting their arrival on Sunday!

    Dear Marc,
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you again for the
fabulous time we had at the resort. Your helpfulness and
warmth truly enhanced our experience and made us feel at
home. The same is true for all the staff  in the resort and at
    Elizabeth's. The experience was unforgettable.
Also, the wedding turned out beautifully! We viewed the DVD
after coming home and were very pleased.
Have a wonderful day, and we hope to see you again soon in
                                                                           St. Croix.

    Hey Marc,
We made it back to St. Louis. We really enjoyed meeting you and your staff.
Everyone was just amazing! We had so much fun at your resort that we want to
come back again. How do we add a comment to your web page? We have so
many wonderful things we would like to say.
Also, attached is a picture of our wedding at the resort.  Jack & Jamie
For our comments, we’d like to say:  Hibiscus Beach Resort was a wonderful
place to stay. The view from our room was breath taking. The staff was very
helpful and friendly, attending to every request or question we had no matter
how large or small . We would like to thank the staff for their outstanding service.
Marc, thank you for all of your help with our accommodations, they were perfect.
Lucy, Gorgie, Shelia, Shawn and Ozzie, thanks for making us feel at home and
sharing some local traditions with us. We send a special thank you to Marcia
who always greeted us with her uplifting smile and attitude. She was a tremendous
help with our wedding and was always there to take care of  anything we needed.
What a wonderful staff and a great place to stay. We will come back!

    Marc,
I wanted to write you and tell you how much we enjoyed our stay.  I must say that I am hesitant to put anything either on
Expedia or on tripadvisor for fear that it would turn the place into a stuffy snobby joint.... just joking. But seriously, I do
fear that it would keep you booked forever and make it impossible to make a reservation in the future - again joking. I
will definately write something on expedia and on tripadvisor and include pictures. After all those websites are what led
me to the Hibiscus in the first place. But it was my phone call to Lucinda about the resort and the Island that sealed the
    deal.

We did get out and explore the Island. We did the Big Beard Buck Island 1/2 day and the TanTan 1/2 day - both of them
were fabulous. TanTan gave us a good look at the Island. I was going to rent a car but the whole left side of the road
and drinking didn't seem like a good idea. Went to Christiansted a few times and Ate dinner in town a couple of nights

You have an amazing hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that Keri and I had a great time. It was difficult
to leave everyday to explore the Island but even more difficult to leave for good - we will definately be back - SOON!!!

The staff at Elizabeth's were amazing as well. Luke, Travis, JJ, Sarah, Sheila, Elizabeth etc were awesome. (we did
spend a lot of time at the bar :)).

Please compliment John and Michelle for me and thank them for having such an amazing place.

In fact I completely forgot that we didn't have any water pressure for the first two nights and a broken shower door -
which by the way was fixed promptly... We actually didn't even care. The view from our room was perfect. I could sit in the
chair drink a beer and see the water perfectly. The grounds were awesome - such a variety of plants ... I took lots of
pictures. I will definately write something about the hotel and a more appropriate thanks later.... I have been so dang
busy since I have been back - which was the reason for the quick thanks before weeks and month's go by.
    Thank you!!!                G.G.

It's always a pleasure to help in anyway a place and the people one
chooses to share a small but very very valuable and precious part of their
lives with. Without you and the rest of everyone there we would not choose
to return to stx year after year. We have limited funds and limited time. We
could spend it anywhere in the world - but choose to spend it there. If
"there" was not doing well and the people working there were not making
a decent income- my vacations would not be as great as they are. It's a 2
way fence. The happiest I can make you all - pays dividends in happiness
    for me!
    Always a pleasure.    Kristi

I can't say enough nice things about my stay at Hibiscus Beach Resort.    It is not a fancy over-priced hotel, but it has a quaintness that appeals to my tastes completely.
From the buildings which reminded me of my childhood beach stays in Ocean City, Maryland to the outgoing and welcoming personalities of its employees,
I felt relaxed immediately.     I went with a larger group in February  for a wedding. I think we had 19 of the rooms    . We took over an area of H2O every day beginning at breakfast
and at any point during the day some of our group was there, eating, drinking, playing board games or just relaxing.     We were never rushed to leave or asked to move along.
During the stay, I planned a small catered bridal shower with Jason, the owner of H2O for the bride.      He was wonderful to work with, and provided great food and a
nice meeting room within my budget.     One of Jason's wait staff, Luke (the group "claimed" as OUR personal attendant) was always attentive and helpful.    He worked the bar
during the wedding and we dragged him on to the dance floor at least once along with other patrons of the resort and H20.     The operations director, Marc, was on top of anything
that needed attention even the wedding details and on several occasions we chatted with the owner, John.     You'd never get this type of attention at any chain hotel.
The Four Seasons it is not, but it is clean, comfy and friendly! If you are more impressed by superficial things than getting great customer service,
spend more of your bucks on an overpriced room.

“. . . our trip was amazing. We did alot of exploring on our own. Pretty much covered all of the coastal areas we could and
drove through the mountains, rain forest,... just breathtaking and scary at times! I'd do it again tomorrow!!!! We got to snorkel,
just hang out, and ohhh the rum punch! St. Croix is a wonderful place. I know we'll be back.
Trying to talk John into "retiring" there, we'll see. Thanks for everything, Take Care, and I guess I don't have to say Keep
    Warm,... You're in Paradise!"
    Sincerely,         Lori Ann G.

Marc- My wife and I recently stayed for a week at your resort ( Feb 14-22) and would
like to complement you and the staff for making our visit so enjoyable. This was the
fourth consecutive year we have visited St. Croix but our first time at Hibiscus. We
both wished we had discovered it earlier. The room was great, the beach was
great, and the service was great. The restaurant staff and bartenders were top
notch, fun, and entertaining. The food was also quite good. The wings were
outstanding and the whole fried snapper I had one night was fantastic. We will
definitely be returning on our next visit. Thanks again for a great time.

Vacation - Hibiscus & H2O THANK YOU !!
From: Kimberly F.

We had an absolute laid back blast vacation there at
Hibiscus!  We now are suffering from a huge vacation
hangover and wonder how long that will last. I wouldn’t
consider any other place in the Caribbean other than St.
Croix. Our first night H2O introduction was great and will
remember that forever or until the next time we pass
through.  I was wondering if the entertainment, D J Mak is
a regular there and if so, I would like to send him a T-Shirt
VIA the Hibiscus address.  If so let me know and I will get
it out in the mail and for you doing the leg work, I will
make sure there is an xtra one in the package for
yourself.  Again Ed AND I miss that atmosphere and are
hoping we get over our hangover by July.

My family and stayed at the Hibiscus this Easter (2009).I just wanted to let you and others know
how much we enjoyed St. Croix and staying at the Hibiscus. Myself (Craig), Lynne, Kirsten and
Dana enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Hibiscus.
The discount you gave us so we could have two seperate bedrooms was FANTASTIC!
Since we are in our 40's and 50's, it was great you could give the teenagers (Kirsten and Dana)
    their own seperate bedroom.
I can't thank you enough for that! The personal attention made our stay perfect. I don't know about
the other hotels on the island, but I don't see how they could compete with you.  The rooms were
big, clean and had a gorgeous view just a few feet from the beach.  Having the free snorkel gear to
snorkel right our front our front door was an extra that was greatly appreciated.
I HIGHLY recommend anyone going to St. Croix to stay at the Hibiscus.
As matter of fact, the two teenage girls want to go back this Christmas. If we can find the time, we
will be back again at the Hibiscus!!!
Thanks again for making our trip a vacation of a lifetime. The trip was made as a high school
graduation gift for the girls, but I believe it was a gift to all of us, thanks to the great customer
service and accomadations fomr the Hibiscus Resort!

Hi Marc,
Thanks for emailing to see if we got off alright early
Saturday morning.  We did - thank you very much!
We were able to get a good nights sleep as well, no
problem!  We had a great stay at your hotel, i would
definitely recommend it to others heading to
St. Croix! You have a real gem on your staff too,
Marcia...absolutely wonderful lady!
Take care!  Lynn

Marc, Thank you for the wonderful break.
To tell you the truth, it was my first trip
back to the island since I lost my husband
very unexpectedly recently and I was very
nervous about it. We had never stayed at
the Hibiscus, so that was a help.
You and your resort were the biggest
help, though. The sunshine was
therapeutic as was the gorgeous location.
If I can find another bargain, I will be back
next year.  If there are no bargains, I may
have to make a deal with the devil to get
back!  I am serious, as is my sister, about
moving down. When my younger son
graduates next year, I am free to move
about the country! Thanks again for the
salve for my soul!

My wife and our 6 year old daughter recently had a pleasant stay at Hibiscus Beach Resort.  If you’re looking for a no-
frills getaway to be great.  There was another hotel that had children’s activities every day but was considerably more
expensive. It turned out at Hibiscus that there were plenty of young children around for my daughter to play with, as the
owners have two small children and the Jason and Elizabeth, the operators of the restaurant, Elizabeth’s at H2O, also
have a young son, and they hung out at the pool really good.  And that gave my wife and really good.  And that gave my
wife and I some time to relax on the beach and have our own some time to relax on the beach and have our own I time
together.  The beach is a great time together.  The beach is a great beach.  Sometimes the waves were but it didn’t
make it impossible to strong for swimming, do.  The entire ocean from Hibiscus on down has a protective reef that
affords some great snorkeling, but again it depends on how strong the waves are.   The rooms are comfortable.  The
staff is friendly and helpful.  We rented a car and drove all over the island and got some fantastic photos; the views
along the coastal roads are unbelievable and the color of the water is amazing.  Truly tropical.   It was just the type of
place (and island) that we were looking for.  We didn’t want a lot of “touristy shopping” because we had a child with
us.  And St Croix doesn’t have all that.  There is a small tourist shopping area in the old town area near the boardwalk,
but they’re not trying to hawk their goods everywhere.  It’s very laid back and casual.  If you’re wanting to be pampered,
I wouldn’t say that Hibiscus or St Croix is the place.  But if you’re looking for a nice, comfortable, clean, reasonably
priced place, and if you want to wear your sandals and a tank top all day every day, then this is where you should go!
Thanks Hibiscus!

    Marc,
Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had during our stay at the Hibiscus. Our two rooms couldn't
have been in a better spot and were just where we wanted them to be. We enjoyed our coffee every morning
with that spectacular view! It was just what we had hoped for. I also wanted to thank you and the staff who
were always so friendly and helpful. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and hope to return there again
    sometime next winter.
    Sincerely,  The Bouchard family
The Hibiscus Beach Resort
To Hibiscus Beach Resort,

Thank you for a wonderful visit.  We take vacations
every year but don't usually get to take one to an
island in the Caribbean.  I'm glad we chose St Croix
and the Hibiscus.  Everyone there was so nice and
accommodating to us.  Please give a thank you
to our housekeeper, who did a fantastic job
cleaning every single day.  Most of all a great big
thank you to Marsha, who was there always to
make us laugh and smile as she answered our
many questions and was so helpful. She is a
great asset to the guests, and we wouldn't have
had such a good time without her!
Thank you again, and hopefully we can come back
again.       Lana and Jerry

Marc,
I just had to write you and tell you how much we enjoyed our visit to Hibiscus Beach Resort and to St Croix.
This trip was a very long-awaited vacation for my husband and myself, and you went to so many lengths to make sure it was
absolutely perfect!  It just could not have been any better!  I loved our room and yes, you picked out
the perfect spot for us!  Oh, believe me, I wish I were back there, because it is bitter cold here in Pennsylvania
and it won't be getting any better for months!
I can't wait to show all my friends and family the photos that we took - I have some special ladies who are dear friends who I
will be sure to share the photos with - I know you will get some business from them because they take my opinions very
seriously!  (In fact, I know they were all jealous of our visit, so who knows, you may see some of them before the winter is out!)
Thank you again, you took such good care of us, and thank you for the errands you ran, you and the ladies at the desk,
Rashema,  Marsha, all of you were so wonderful to us!  I'm so glad that we chose your place for our stay.
Take care - Betsy and Russell

Just returned from our wonderfully relaxing visit to
your island.  You're so lucky to live there.  Oh, yes,
I know that living there and having to work is different
than just vacationing there, but you all are lucky indeed.
We had a wonderful visit and I'm glad that we came
when we did and that there were no late in the year
storms,  because the price was great.
We will definitely keep checking out your specials
because it helped us be able to afford the trip, so
if you still have good specials running next year,
we will definitely consider St Croix for a return visit.
Next time we'll have to stay a few more days too!
Thanks to you and your staff for everything.

Hi Mark, sending e mail  to let everyone know what a great time
we had at Hibiscus.   We wanted to let people know how
wonderful it was staying there. Everyone was very
accomadating, with the only concern is that we were  taken
care of & we were, our vacation was the  best & we look
forward to coming back very soon!

Hey Marc!
Brandon and I had a wonderful time staying at Hibiscus!   We both agree we had a perfect
honeymoon and wouldn't change a thing.  We had a great view, were right on the beach, right
near the restaurant, saw sea turtles nesting from our back porch, had amazing snorkling right
out side our room and were treated like royalty by the staff.  No apologies nessasary!  If
anything, that storm that came through wasn’t so bad, there was nothing you could do about
the weather – we knew it was hurricane season, and after it passed, we had
flawlessly sunny days, and clear as glass water.

We really enjoyed getting to meet you and the rest of the staff.  We both agreed some of the
higlights of our trip were at the resort!  The restaurant group is hilarious and everyone
we met at the front desk was so friendly and personable.  Some of our favorite things we
did and places we visited were based on recommendations from people at the hotel!

I am still working uploading our personal pictures from our wedding and the honeymoon, but
they will be up soon!   Thanks again for all you did to make our honeymoon so memorable!
It truly was a perfect week in paradise and Hibiscus Resort played a huge part in making
it so.  We really hope to make it back someday - maybe an anniversary!?
Keep in touch!  -  Melissa
A handwritten note from a group of guests:

           August 2, 2010
           Marc,
I wanted to write you a note of thanks for making our "Groovy Girls
Getaway" such a wonderful experience.  We all had a great time at the Hibiscus,
and your staff was so warm and gracious.
As you know, the five of us girls get together every few years and have
done so for the past 15 years, and we always research our options carefully,
especially since we are women traveling alone.  Now, don't get me wrong, we
are confident that we can take care of ourselves, because as you saw, we're all
very independent, but it's still important to us (and our husbands) that we
choose a place that we believe is going to be safe, where we feel we will have
good experiences and memories, and naturally, where we can get the most
    bang for our buck!
I have to say that coming to St Croix was the best choice we could have
made.  We have done the Las Vegas and the Cancun and we're not the wild
party-scene type, so St Croix turned out to be a wonderful choice.  It was just
enough "party" for us, but not so much like a Spring Break destination.
Thanks to everyone there, including Ozzie your security, for checking on
us at night.  You got us all set up in 3 great rooms right there together and it was
perfect.  The beach, the ocean, the view, it was all just perfect.  And the weather
cooperated great!  It's hotter here in Florida than it was there in St Croix!
We usually like to experience different locations on our every few year's
getaways, but now that we have discovered St Croix, we are thinking that it might
be our choice again three years from now.   Of course, who knows what may
happen in our lives between now and then, but if we don't all make it as a group,
I'm sure that some of us will eventually return, maybe with our husbands and or
    the kids.
You were great from the beginning, when I first emailed you, and I just
want you to know that you and your staff made the true difference in how
memorable our somewhat annual Groovy Girls Getaway was!
Thank you so much for everything!
Glenda and the girls (Missy, Linda, Cynthia and Michelle)
Dear Marc and wonderful Staff,
Just a card to thank ALL of you for our stay there
at the Hibiscus. I still dream about our stay
there in St Croix.  It was you and your staff that
made our vacation perfect.
I got some wonderful pictures of the Hibiscus
Beach and our room. We have told all our
friends, teachers and friends at the YMCA
where Renee and I attend about the Hibiscus.
Every night Renee and I sat out on the beach
and every night we wish we were still there
in St Croix.  We are headed to Canada now, but
at least it's not yet winter there
.God bless and take care,   Greg and Renee
Although we realize that our hotel is not for everyone, we are very proud of the
many positive, kind, and warm guest comments and emails that we receive.
We would love to please every single guest that stayed with us, and although we come extremely close,
we could likely never satisfy everyone.   We are not a mega-resort filled with tourists, but we believe that like many of the
unique properties on St Croix, we fill a niche in the intimate, boutique hotel market.   We love our guests and are pleased
to see many of them year after year.  Also, for those whose visit to Hibiscus Beach Resort or the island of St Croix may
be only a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we want them to know that we appreciate them too!
You are all important to us!
On this page, we are pleased to post some of the many things our guests have told us.
We are also pleased with our current ranking of all hotels and resorts on the island of St Croix on TripAdvisor.
We realize that while most comments shown here will be more of a positive nature, travelers are always
welcome to and encouraged to read the opinions of our guests on sites such as TripAdvisor.
Thanks to all our guests - from the Staff and Management of Hibiscus Beach Resort !

    Hey Marc!!

I wanted to thank you again for all your help while we visited St Croix.
I am certainly going to write some reviews for Hibiscus, because we
absolutely loved it as you know.   And I hope we can get back soon!!
We really want to bring our family next year.   Thank you so much for
taking us out.  We had such an amazing experience seeing the island.
I don't think we could have every seen the island ourselves like you were
able to show us!  It was a very nice gesture, since we were too young to
rent a car, and we really appreciate it!  I'm working on editing the photos,
and I will let you know  when I post them!!!

Marc,

We just wanted to thank you for the
wonderful time we had there.  We will
definitely return!  We wanted to return as
soon as we landed in Amsterdam - 50
degrees and rain!  It rained our entire first
week back in Germany, but thankfully the
sun came out on Friday and we now have
70 degrees with sun.  No Caribbean to
swim in, though.

Also, I remember you asking about the
influx of military personnel visiting your
hotel and St Croix while on leave -  I just
came across an advertisement in the Army
Times that may answer that question.

I hope you are enjoying sun and waves.

Hi Marc,

Well, I had to write you and John and everyone and tell you that we had a great
time in St Croix.  Everyone at the hotel was so accommodating, even during the
storm that we had, as you could see, the kids were fine, it was like an
adventure to them.  I am glad at least that there was not alot of damage
on the island or that anyone on the island was hurt.

I know that our 2 little ones are not tied to video games every day, but they still
do spend a good deal of time on the computer and things like that, so I was glad
to see that they found time to play and have fun outside and that they got out
and got some good exercise.  I know you had some concerns that there might
not be alot for kids to do, but hey ours found plenty to keep them occupied.
They had a wonderful time.    I think it's GOOD for kids to get away from all the
technology every now and then and find adventure and make their own fun.

So anyway, I just wanted you to know that everyone there was really
spectacular  and that you were all very accommodating to us, and during the
storm, we felt very safe and taken care of.  You have a great staff and we
appreciate all that  you did for us
and the kids.

Take care,  The Kendricks

    Hi Marc,
Thanks so much for the note.  We had a great time!  We enjoyed
The  Hibiscus Resort and had a lot of fun with our friends at St.
Croix.  Thanks so much for the recipe book, too!  I can’t wait to try
some.  That was a very thoughtful gift.  I know our friends had a
great time, too, and want to visit again.  We appreciate all of your
tips and insight into your lovely island.
Smiles from not as sunny New Jersey,   Alexandra and Harry

Marc,
We all really enjoyed the trip to ST Croix with all our couple
friends, it was just great from beginning to end.  We all got
out and did what we wanted to do on the island, but the
best part was the relaxation on the beach.  We loved
having the rooms so close and the view was beautiful.

When we left I was rushing and did not leave the money I
had set aside for the maids. I would like to send a check if
that is okay.  I saw at least two different women who took
care of our room.  They did an excellent job and I definitely
wanted to leave something.  If I send a check to you would
you mind distributing the the staff?  If you get a chance
to write back and let me know the best way to handle I
would really appreciate it.
Also, thank you for all of your courtesy during the
reservation process, you do a great job.

Hey Marc,
So we're home and already missing St Croix.
Thanks for everything -- the resort looks great,
you've done a lot.  If you ever need a customer
reference or anything, please don't hesitate to ask,
we'd be more than happy to provide one
(you have been fantastic to deal with).
Thanks again,
Amina

Oh Marc, I had to write you and tell you it was so terrific!  Anna and I hated to leave.  Your
staff are the best, and you chose a great room for us.  Yeah, we looked for you to say
goodbye and sorry we missed you too.  Thank you for the restaurant cookbook - thank you
for everything!  Keep an eye out for my Tripadvisor review.  Please tell Lucinda we said
Happy Easter, and same to you.  -  Melanie Gardner

    Marc.
We had a wonderful time in St. Croix.  We pretty much saw as much of St. Croix in a week that was humanly possible.

Rainforest, pigs, Cane Bay, Buck Island, Christainsted, Frederisksted, Point Udall and Jump-up night.  We bought the tank
of gas for our economy rental car and brought it back almost bone dry.  That car went places no economy rental car should
have gone...we were up on the mountains on the scenic road/trail !  That took some skill and a lot of luck.  Next time it will
    be a Jeep.

The hotel and service was great (esp. Lucinda).  As I said...we were not looking for Las Vegas at the shore.  We wanted
a quaint, relaxed and convenient stay, and I believe we received what we were looking for in the Hibiscus Beach Resort.
The beach was convenient steps away, and so was the restaurant and pool.  The reef just off shore was pretty
spectacular in itself.  Sometimes the waves were up but there were several good days when it wasn't so bad, the waves
were calm and the snorkeling was great!  The view from the room was perfect.

Regarding kids, the one thing I've learned is that in the right setting, they will make their own fun. The sand, shells,
water and the occasional lizard were enough to keep them busy at the resort.  With the kids vests and fins you provided
I was able to get my 7 yr old son out to see the reef, and I was able to get my 4 yr old daughter to build confidence in the
    water.

And yes, we got back just in time to shovel out the snow from the weekend, and then shovel out another 20" the next day.
    Fun, fun, fun!
                                                                                            Thanks,    John F.

Hi All!
Sheila asked if I would send the photo (if any
turned out okay) of the huge squid I saw just
out front of your place on Friday.  One shot is
pretty good and the others are okay- so you can
pick and crop or whatever.  There's some other
shots too if you want to use them for whatever.
Oh- and just tell Sarah I sent that photo of her
along just to rattle her cage a bit!!  LOVE YA
SARAH!!!  :)
Thanks again for a great vacation and can't wait
to see y'all again!
All my best~   Kristi A

Dear Marc,
Oh my!
I just returned from Mediation that went
from  9:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and I walked
out!  It was brutal.  Boy, would I like to be at
the Hibiscus right now.  I will return when I
am able.  It is my secret place!
Know that you made a huge difference and
for that you have earned your angel wings.
If you ever find yourself in Dallas, or any of
your staff, know that I have plenty of room
and a beautiful home (for now) and would
love to share my space.
Fondly,
Dottie

Hi Marc,
We got home without mishap, probably because we were so relaxed from our stay
with you.   Thank you for your thoughtful gift; there are several recipes I'll be trying.
Hope the only stones in your system are the music group.
Love to you, Lucinda, granddaughter, and the crew.
Best,
Phyllis and Allan
Dear Marc and Staff,
Oh, how delighted I am with our
destination wedding at Hibiscus!
Now I can see why you have so
many weddings there!
It was absolutely perfect, just the
type of ceremony we wanted.
I am so glad that we didn't have the
traditional church wedding
but instead opted for a
wedding in St Croix.
And when I first started thinking
about having a wedding way off on
an island, I really didn't think that
we would have many of our family
or friends to come.  But you gave
us great rates and really helped
out so we could make it a great
event for everyone!
I just can't thank you enough!
The pictures will always be there
when the memories go dim
over time, but I will always
remember the feeling of the sand
between my toes as we stood
there saying our vows
and I didn't even care about the
sand, ha!  It was great!
Thank you again for everything!
You made it truly special.

Hey Marc, yes, it's OK if you use my comments on your website. I feel the personal service there
was not what we would have received at a larger resort. The small, comfortable look on the web
page is what made us decide to come to Hibiscus. We aren't the kind of people who are into the
marble, huge columns, fancy dining halls, etc. that we were finding on the other hotel sites - and
believe me, we DID check every single hotel's web site to find exactly what we wanted.
I will also post some good comments on TripAdvisor and Travelocity. I had also read comments
on these sites so I would imagine others would also.
May you have a wonderful prosperous tourist season this year.
    Thanks again.
    Tammy W.
